Re: Gelling roots
In Response To: Re: Gelling roots ()

Hi! Pam ...

You said in response to Philip:
It's weird, but just
after "talking" to you, my cousin in Canada, who had been
researching the Gelling family tree sent me a "FEW" pages (!)
to whet my appetite. He has gone back to 1700. But I'm not sure
of what Gelling family tree you had delved into.

I am from Nova Scotia, Canada, and am wondering if your Canadian
cousin may have any information on my ancestor John GELLING.
I know nothing of his descendents as he was said to have arrived
by boat and nothing further,

The 1871 census for Westchester Family #152: age 73, tailor,
b. Isle of Man.
Descendants of John GELLING - 17 Feb 2001
--------------------------------------------------------------
1-John GELLING
b: 1799 in Isle-of-Man
d: 29 Jul 1879 in prob.Westchester, NS.

This has been my brick wall and about the only hope I have is that
someone might be able to connect John by his birth date. I have lots
of information on his descent to me.
