I am searching for information on the Clanton name,my Grandmother was a Clanton,I have her lineage back to the latter 1800's,last to be Samuel Clanton,I have recieved info that I wa a decendant of John Clanton that sailed from England in the 1600s,on a ship called "Abraham",I can't find the ship to see if this info is correct or not,should you find the info,it would be most helpful,or info on the Clantons in South Carolinia,USA.
