11th. East Lancs Regt.was known as the 'Accrington Pals'--from what i can gather
friends/pals/workmates joined the Army to serve together in PALS Battalions
the sad fact is they also died together,which caused much grief and
suffering in areas they were recruted in.-Had your G/Father any connection
with the Accrington /Lancashire area to be serving in one of the Pals
Battalions.?? One other thing his address was No 1 Chester St-
