Betty, if you haven't tried this site already give it a go - it lists 100s of children who were shipped out to Canada as part of the child emigration scheme from Britain and the Isle of Man and has recently been updated. I forwarded them details of over 300 children who were sent from the Isle of Man from c.1888-1928 http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~britishhomechildren.
