My 2x great grandfather was William Gale who married Cinderella (Lindy) McCatherine in 1843. They had Sarah, John, Joseph and Mary.. In 1850 census Lydia Gale was listed as his daughter which I gather from another marriage. He came from Isle of Man and was married in Kings Ferry, Camden, GA
