I'm hoping you might be able to help me determine which of 2 baptism records is the correct one for my 3 times ggrandfather Edward Gelling. He was born about 1811/12 in Braddan and was buried on 15 April 1889 aged 78, his residence was noted as Foxdale . He married Isabella Quayle on 17 Aug 1839 in Patrick. Edward and Isabella had 4 sons Edward 1839 (my 2 times ggrandfather), Thomas 1842, John 1850 & William 1855 all of who emmigrated to Australia, and 3 daughters Ann 1841, Margaret 1846 & Catherine 1848 all of who stayed in the Isle of Man.

The 2 baptism records I found are:

Edward Gelling baptised in Braddan on 1 Sep 1811 with parents William Gelling & Margaret Canneen - OR
Edward Gelling baptised in Braddan on 15 Mar 1812 with parents Thomas Gelling & Elizabeth Kelly.
