Thank you all so very much! It must have been part of the farm he was trying to get back. He didn't succeed but came back to Oregon empty handed. At least he tried. He did have a farm in Oregon and it worked out for my Grandmother. Does anyone have any idea where I would find records of a court case of this manner?
