There was a sequence of Thomas Craines at Gliack or Glack from the 17th C until at least 1835 - ThomasCraine who died in 1835 had married twice and used a legal dodge to allow him to leave some land in the curraugh to a daughter by this second marriage - he featured in a strange law case reported in Advocates Notebook of 1847 - see www.manxnotebook.com/fulltext/an1847/p426.htm in which one party was described as beyond the seas ie away from the British Isles + probably in America as many Manx from this part of the Island left for Ohio from 1826 onwards
