I am researching my Gellen family line. My GG grand mother was Matilda Gellen who died on 29 June 1886 in Douglas. She was married to a Thomas Gellen. She had lived in Ovenden, Yorkshire where she had 4 children. Some the birth certificates of the children show her surname was Killey and had a maiden name of Gornal/Gurnell and was born in the Isle of Man. One of her son's was William Gornal Killey who later had the surname Gelling. He married a Jane Elizabeth Crellin in 1887 in Douglas. Hoping someone can shed more light on Matilda.
