William Caley or Kaley married Melvina Wilcox 1 Mar 1832 in Jonesboro, IL. They resided in Jonesboro all their lives and at the time of the 1850 census, were proprietors of a hotel. William was also a tailor. They had 5 children; Lorenzo Dow, Jane, Eleanor, William Scott and Maggie. William died 27 May 1872 in Jonesboro.
