I always put Isle of Man never Isle of Man, England as the island isn't part of England. I think people in the past when they emigrated may have mentioned England because more people knew where England was and maybe some people didn't know where the island was or they thought they had to be from either England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland. If anyone is unsure about the location put Isle of Man, British Isles rather than Isle of Man, England.
