Hello Ann
Laxey is in the Kirk of Lonan. Callister can be Collister , on most IOM sites they are linked, but if you are searching in the UK - FreeUKBMD - you need to try both names.
Circa 1866 on the IOM could only find two James Edward COllisters and only one in Lonan , and his father is William:
Ch. 20/11/1864 to William Collister and Jane Kermeen , father is a labourer and living at Baldooin, Lonan.
Other child John Thomas ch 27/7/1862, with same details for father William.
You can view the details on the IGI , however the viewing link for John Thomas is as Kermeen although the details are Collister.
Cannot find a marriage for William and Jane on the IOM or FreeBMDUK. Looked for any Collister/Callister to any Kermeen produced only one - Jane Kremeen to James Collister 1848.
Cannot find them on Brian Lawsons 1871 census index for the IOM , have you found them on the UK census ? Could only find one possible burial - Jane Collister 5/12/1866 in Lonan aged 44. The listing does not show maiden name.
Cheers
