"Greeba" was also given at the 1842 German bapt of Ann, daughter of John Corkill & Ann Kay.
i thought they were possibly also the parents of John bapt 1850 & Eleanor Emma 1855, Abode Douglas for both, because father John was a shoemaker in all 5 bapts. Mother Ann's surname was not given for the last two.
It looks as though father John could have died after the first three children were baptised. There was a John Corkill of Greeba buried in German 11 Feb.1847 aged 33 (b.c.1814), and also a John Corkill Abode Douglas but buried in German 3 Oct.1847 aged 38 (b.c.1809).
I can't see any of them in the 1851 census (or any other) except for William James with his Kaye grandfather in 1851. Eliza had died so that leaves mother Ann and eldest daughter Ann bapt 3 July 1842, of Greeba, German. Plus the two doubtful ones, above, b.Braddan
