There appears to be one Hudgeon family left in the Isle of Man residing in Peel so probably not related to my Hudgeon family. The taxi driver who took us back to the airport told us this as well as a lady who ran the gift shop at the Laxey Wheel.

We found a gravestone in Kirk Rushen for John Hudgeon (1815 to 1895) and his wife Margaret (1817 to 1874) in remarkably good condition, and further along the row one for his brother Henry. However, there was not one for his daughter Margaret Reid, but there was a large area of grass near her father's grave which may well contain graves with the headstones long gone.
