GARRETT (re. Dave Garrett message)

This is in answer to an old message from the board, which has:
Re: Kelly family, Marown, 1860's
By:Dave Garrett
Date: 12/4/2002
" ...... I am looking for ancestors of my Kelly family.... Catherine Kelly married James Turner Garrett. One son was named Caesar also who was married in Patrick. Catherine Kelly married James Turner Garrett in Marown on 25 Feb 1826. The son Caesar was born in Marown. I have nothing on her ancestors except a father with the name of Edward? Kelly and a mother named Marjery? Quirk? I really need help with this line. Thanks to anyone who can help."

I was recently asked about this family, including James Turner Garrett, who I think was bapt in Rushen in 1798 (s/o George Garret & Alice Mylchreest marr. Patrick 1796), and was probably buried in German aged 69, 21 March 1867. JTG was in the 1861 census, but his wife Catharine (Kelly) was a widow in 1871.

I think Catharine was bapt in German 10 March 1802, daur of Wm Kelly & Agnes Hutchin (married German 28 May 1799), and buried 28 Dec 1883 Foxdale aged 82.

Since writing the above I have had a quick look on the internet at Ancestry etc. Ancestry says there are 1,863,313 Family Trees for JTG!! Scary.

Has anyone currently looking at this board done any research on these families? The tree that I looked at on Ancestry looked a bit hit and miss, at best.
