My husband David Hewson's family tree has Thomas Hewson born 1773 married Catherine Rob September 2nd 1798. Catherine was born in 1777. They had a son Joseph born 1817 and he was married to Margaret Corris who died April 25th 1893. They had 10 children the youngest of which John Robert was my husbands grandfather he was born in 1862 in Ramsey. He was a boat builder and married late in life. One of his older brothers moved to Ireland but I don't think any of the family was in Ireland before that. I have only just come across this post and I see it was from years ago so you probably have this by now.
