Tim, the date at the top of the page in the Patrick baptism register is 1829. The entry for Catharine Moore is for 9th August which was the day she was taken to church to be received into the congregation. Her parents had told the clergyman that Catharine had been born on 10th October (year not specified in register) and that she had been baptised privately by Rev Kewley (this was usually done at home soon after birth if the baby was sickly and might not live for long enough to be taken to church for baptism). Thus, at the church service on 9th August 1829, Catherine was just a few weeks short of her third birthday.

This sort of detail has only been available online for the past year or two. The Crellin family research you refer to was probably done prior to this, using transcribed versions of the registers which didn’t include some of the details.
