During my research into my maternal line I traced the Gorry name back to 1780's. It is unclear where they arrived from.
Abook in the Family history centre claims it is Mull but someone else told me family folklore was the family came from Ireland.
My own DNA results are strongly leaning towards Ireland.
Does anyone have any more information on the origins of the Gorry's from Peel.
