The problem with Robert Lewn (husband of Margaret Christian) being from the Creg-y-cown family is that this would suggest his parents were Robert Lewn and Jane Clague, WHILE the marriage contract of Robert Lewn to Margaret Christian states that Robert's parents were Robert & Margaret Lewn (SSS May 1732 63 Robt Lewn Margt Christian ?marr dated 7 Feb 1721/2 (post marriage);whereas Robt Lewn(Ballalhargee braddan) + Margt (d/o Ewn Christian Ballacunney Marown) married without any formal contract now prevailed upon parents to enter into one; Robt + Margt parents of Robt settle half estate Balllhargee;Robt Lewn senr gfa to young Robt settles Ballachoan at his decease (+ half sheep on top penny pot);Christians to give £15;Robt Lewn senr to be maintained;witt Wm Bridson,wm Kelly).
