In 1871, if your Margaret Hudgeon, daughter of a John Hudgeon and a few weeks away from marrying Thomas Reid in Kirk Rushen, was on the island at census time, the only 2 possibilities from the census index (extract above) are:
1) The 23 yr old living with her parents John Hudson and Margaret Crellin on Lime Street, Port St Mary.
2) the 17 yr old servant living at household 50 in Surby, Rushen, with the Sansbury family. Household 44 on the adjacent census page was this Margaret’s mother, Jane Hudgeon nee Kelly (father John away fishing ?) and children.
(The 21 yr old Margaret Hudgeon in Rushen in the list above was a married woman.)
If the Margaret Reid age 28 of Port St Mary who was buried in Rushen on 30th August 1875 was the wife of Thomas Reid, then this rules out Margaret in 2) above.
And having tied myself up in knots unravelling that, I’ve just found this IGI entry:
Name: Thomas Reid
Birth Date: 1850
Age: 21
Spouse's Name: Margaret Hudson
Spouse's Birth Date: 1848
Spouse's Age: 23
Event Date: 09 Jul 1871
Event Place: Kirk Rushen,Isle Of Man,England

It all seems to point to Margaret Reid nee Hudgeon being the daughter (bap 29 March 1848) of John Hudgeon and Margaret Crellin.
