After I posted the above answer it occurred to me that in case someone looks for that second family at a later date, I should have written that John Corkill's 1881 will also mentioned his younger sons William Henry and Joseph, as well as his wife Margaret and eldest son and heir John. Someone said that William Henry Corkill (b.1854) emigrated to Australia, but I haven't followed this family further.
