I just found John Cain and wife Esther with her Hampton children and her Lewin mother at Ballaugh, Braddan in 1841. This clearly isn't the John Cain I talked about in the above note, so the suggestion of Ed Jones in 2006 and noted by Mrs. Rosa has to be discarded I'm afraid.
