I'm looking for info about Elizabeth Keig born Malew approx. 1871.
In 1881 IOM Census she is living with her mother Margaret and siblings at 7 Peel Road - Grocery Store.
1891 IOM Census shows her in Douglas living with her brother in law and sister William and Catherine Bell.
1900 she leaves from Douglas to travel to Boston, USA with her 2 year old child Joseph H to a "friend" Joseph Crowe.
Joseph was a blacksmith who shows up in Boston in 1898. In the Boston census' and city directories up until 1935 she is shown as wife of Joseph Crowe with a child Joseph Crowe as his son who is noted as born in Boston. A second son, John Charles, is born 8 years later also Joseph's son. Joseph died in 1935. Elizabeth is house keeper in a lodging house until her death in 1945. Her sons are both there as well. I can't find a marriage in the IOM marriages or of son Joseph in IOM births. The Joseph Crowe is my Grandfathers brother, John Joseph Crowe of Bride. Son of John L Crowe and Jane Kneen. Know I have the right Joseph as his Boston address matched an address for him on John L Crowe's will. Any help would be appreciated.
