I guess domestic servants came and went. Finances were becomsing more staitened by the 1890s so possibly fewer staff at the gentry houses?
A coachman at Churchtown sounds like the Vicar's man, or possibly one of the other big houses such as Woodlands or Abbeyville. If working at Milntown, the coachman wouuld have lived over the arch leading into the stable yard north side of ther Lezayre Road. You must read George Quayle's wonderful Legends of a Lifetime which discusses the very topic of coachmen and their living quarters in the big lezayre households.
