I am trying to trace Alice Cowin alias Quine alias Lewn who died Lonan in 1764 in particular to find her Quine husband.
She is not
Not: Alice Quine alias Lewin who died as Alice Cottier [widow of Thomas Quine of Onchan] who later married John Cottier, and moved to Lonan and was buried in 1773
Not: Will 1728 A 3 LEWN Alice quine bur 7 mar 1727;ch alice,ann,mary;husb wm;uncle danl quine supv
But she could possibly be a daughter of the above person if the alias was the other way around
Not: Alice Cowen alias Quine alias Cottier [As widow of Philip Quine she married in 1763 Thos Cowin]
Not sure if this is relevant: Robert Quyne married Onchan 1714 Mary Cown. 'lewn xd thru quyne overwritten'
Not sure if this is relevant: Alice Quine b 06 Jan 1727 Braddan Father Robert
Based on her will and other information I think this is the probable family structure. The Will of her daughter who died in 1760 confirms a marriage to Quine

Burial: Alice Cowin Or Lewin, Burial 23 Nov 1764, Braddan

It is quite probable that Gilbert Cowin d Feb 1742 is the brother of Robert Cowen whose daughter Jony Cowen b c1690 d 1722 married John Quine of Amagary [her son John Quine brought up by Daniel Cowen & Mary Cowen]
If correct that would indicate there may possibly be an earlier marriage for Gilbert Cowin on 07 Jun 1681 to Margaret Quay]
