hoping somebody can help me out I have my 3x g grandfather James Radcliffe (1835) son of john Radcliffe and Jane Scarffe, James married Sarah Ann Shimmin in 1859, I have census records for them in 1871, 1881, by 1901 James is not listed but his wife doesnt state she is a widow. I have found a record for a James Radcliffe in 1901 at the lunatic Asylum birth place Andreas abt 1835, is there any way I can confirm that this is my James Radcliffe ?
