My father John Hayes received the watch after Cornelius (Connie) died in 1975. My father died in 2004 and my brother Stuart John Hayes now has the watch. He also has a certificate of bravery from the Royal Humane Society that was presented to Connie. My mother tells me that my grandfather was very ill with pneumonia after the incident.

I must get the inquest newspaper article finished and send it to you as it goes into much more detail.
