some families had fixed naming paterns esp for 1st sons - others much more 'random' however the more unusual names tended to stick within a family - + generally early children often reflect their grandparents' as well as their parents' names - personally I wouldn't rely on such patterns holding that strictly tho the appearance of more unusual names is a good indicator
