1879 - 31 = born c1848. This doesn't quite fit with the 1838 born Sulby chap...

A search on Ancestry.co.uk reveals a Thomas Kegg born c1839 born and living in Patrick. He also has a brother called William. Their mother Ann had remarried, and was now a Crellin. John Crellin was a Corn Miller.

I'll do a search for a Thomas born c1848...
