Thomas (William) Kegg is reported as from Salby sic. Isle of Man. This is a newspaper report on mortuary returns and could be a misprint.
He was decribed as "age, about 31, 5 ft. 6 ins. high,fair complexion and moustache. Tattoos on wrists. Has been a sailor" The 1861 census lists a Thomas Kegg born Sulby in 1838 and at that time was with the Royal Navy at sea and in ports abroad. Could this be him ?
