guess I should have pointed out one possible 'source' - in the mid 17th C Ballahick was held by the Caesars until 1789 - John Caesar (s/o Arthur + Margret Clerk by which Ballahick came into the family) was an MHK mid 17th century + whose wife was caught up in the witchcraft craze and tried for witchcraft in 1659 and acquitted
