Gravestone in Marown reads:
In remembrance of Elizabeth Lace, who departed this life on 4 July 1869, aged 30 years.
Also Elizabeth Gelling, mother ofthe above, who died 28 April 1884, aged 73 years.
Also John Lace, son of the above who died March 18 1888, aged 54 years.
Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.
Note: Thomas Corkill (son of E. Lace) and his wife Eleanor Ann Quayle are also in that grave...but names not on headstone.
Evidently Thomas Corkill had asked to be buried with his mother.
In his will John Lace left all his possessions to his nephew Thomas Corkill.
