Any information about Thomas Gelling (and his heirs) would be most appreciated.
All I have is from the 1851 Census.
Widowed, aged 82, born Braddan, living with daughters Margaret, 35, and Elizabeth Gelling, aged 25. Both born Braddan.

Elizabeth Gelling was mother to two illegitimate children, fathered by Thomas Lace.
Their names are John Lace born 1835 Marown, and Elizabeth Lace born 1837, (died 1867).

Elizabeth Lace was mother to Thomas Corkill (I believe his father was John Corkill, mariner (?)), Thomas was my great grandfather, his son Robert Henry Quayle was my grandad...he should have been a Corkill...but that's a long story!
