sorry seem to have confused my Gills - his father was John Fred Gill deemster (d 1899 - obit on Manxnotebook) - JF's bro was W W Gill who wrote music inc the now National Anthem
Fred Agnew was presumeably the Lieut (acting Captain) F Agnew Gill in Queen's own Oxfordshire Hussars mentioned in despatches in 1917
