yes we are sure of the birth date, March 1837 as we have access to the grave. he died in 1936 in NZ at 99y and 9 months !! even went through the newspaper, and it is well know in the family memory at Humphrey almost made it to 100 years old !
For the ship, we "think" that he came from Liverpool in 1856 on board of the "indian Queen" with Robert Dixon, an english man who later on worked with Humphrey to built their township. unfortunately there are no official record of that ship. we found Dixon on it, but no Humphrey but there are only 100 or so name on it... they were 320 on board !
However, family memories told us that they arrive together...
