there are no indications that the ann corlet who married into the Cains was whom you say - if she did come from Ballaugh then almost certain that the marriage wuld have been there - merely matching names as per IGI records which as you accept are incomplete (gaps in ballaugh, explicit comment in Michael register that it was a copy as old register was damaged and that some entries could not be read). The subsequent future of the Ann Corlet born in Ballaugh may come out when I finish more work on Ballaugh deeds etc, need also check burials - there are hints however that Ann Cain als Corlet is mentioned in a few Michael wills - my own working assumption is that she was related to the Wm Corlet who left the land to his granddau (who was I suspect heir at law so he had no choice) who promptly sold it to John Cain miller who had married Ann prior to the sale.
