Sorry I have not been well and consequently have not followed up with the postings here.

Have just read through everybody's very helpful advice and many thanks to you all for your wonderful kindness (as you have proved many times for me in my amateur genealogical searching attempts) in providing information about this side of my family.

John, George Francis Wilson, b. 1867 Liverpool who married Mary Jane Hudson, b.1873, Liverpool, were my maternal grandfather and grandmother. George Francis' father was William Robert Wilson who married Betsy Cowley, so they were my maternal greatgrandparents. Betsy's mother, Jane Lewney Cowley was my gg-grandmother.
