This is more an England rather than IOM query, but perhaps someone might have some suggestions. I have a Martha Kermode b. 23 December 1879 in West Derby, Lancashire to Joseph Kermode and Helena (Treloar) Kermode (both from Lonan and married there on Nov 20, 1875), my ggrand parents Martha is shown in the 1901 Lancashire census but did not accompany the rest of the family when they emigrated to Canada in 1904, but did emigrate there later, supposedly married to a Jenkins or Jenkinson.

I have located a birth in Ontario, Canada to a "Marian" Kermode and George Rupert Jenkinson; she born in England/IOM depending upon which census. But there is a specific date given in their child's birth record for their marriage: 26 June 1906 at Liverpool, England. There is a marriage listing in the BMD index for a George Jenkinson for the 2nd quarter (i.e. June) 1906 in Lancashire, however, neither of the two female possibilities is a Kermode. My next step is to order the George Jenkinson marriage certificate on the chance that his spouse was a Kermode but not listed in the index. But wondering if anyone familiar with the UK BMD might suggest an alternate means of obtaining further information for a message on such a specific date. I haven't located a marriage on the IGI or other searches.
