The Heritage events are generally well known in the community via local publicity + usually a mention in the Manx press (and they are intended very much as local community events tho visitors are of course welcome) - if you are particularly interested in say Michael then become a member though to be honest I suspect cost of postage to Australia would make you a financial loss to society as they are not set up in say same way as IoMFHSoc. I know more about the Peel Heritage Trust which organises monthly meetings (usually 1st Weds of month), most publicity is via small posters in local shop windows, publishes a twice yearly newsletter and gave financial backing to restart the Peel City Guardian (which now helds support the trust) + to provide some capital (to be repaid) for various publishing connected with Peel - all this on £5 pa (tho soon to go up as Postage costs have rocketed tho in Peel - as I suspect in Michael - most is hand-delivered.
