Thanks for this information, Yusser. I do have a few more questions.
Eleanor Crowe, my GG Grandmother, died 19 Feb 1915 at Clematis Cottage, Kirk Michael. I have a register copy of her death. Informant was son-in-law Robert A. Faragher of the same residence. Could you tell me who owned Clematis Cottage at that time?
Eleanor's husband John Crowe died 4 June 1890 at The Bridge, Ramsey. 1881 census he and his family lived at Village, Kirk Michael. What is The Bridge? Could John have been working as a mason at Ramsey at the time of his death at 70 years of age?
I wonder, did my GG Grandfather, John Crowe b. 1819 and wife Eleanor Kelly ever own property in Kirk Michael? Census indicate that they lived with Eleanor's parents in 1871, and in 1891 after John's death Eleanor again lived with her widr father at Whitehouse.
John Crowe was a stone mason. Would he have built homes in Kirk Michael? I'm always planning ahead for my visit to the Isle of Man. Would I be able to locate any buildings or bridges built by my ancestors, and if so where would I find this information?
Any further help with my research would be greatly appreciated.
