Really?! I wonder why?

I clearly remember my grandmother telling me that she called my uncle Richard Robert because her father was Robert Richard.
Do you think it passible then that even his own daughter didn't know his right name? The same one that went to his funeral and
buried him. I'm curious to find his grave and see what name is on it! But the real mystery is Daisy Louisa...I mean she dropped
completely her first name and changed the second to "Louise"...can you imagine how long it took me to find any records of her
thinking per name was Louise Thompson?!
Another think I find confusing in Britain is the habit to drop the maiden name once you are married. I live in Italy and here you
always use your maiden name although you might be married. I think it makes it easier to trace ancestors.

However, thanks. It does put things into a somewhat clearer perspective!
