Thank you for that. Yes that is where I got the Isle of Man info from. I have searched the FreeBDM but didn't find the birth there. There were numerous Mary Jane's, but none of them appear to be in the areas where the family resided, both in Durham or North Yorkshire. There being so many Mary Jane Bell on those listings, I can't afford to purchase certificates, any way none of them may not be the one I'm after. (BTW Mary Jane was sister of my great-grandfather). That was the reason I thought there maybe a record of her birth on Isle of Man. From her descendants I have a birth date of 30 December 1841. I am hoping that others who see this post may have some information.
