Hello Val,
I have copes of the Maughold parish register but don't know where you mean by "John Casement, born in Jofon Marksman, Maughold in 1804".
Was this a place name written in an Australian certificate - perhaps on his death cert? Would you please post all the details given there, which might also have his parents' names and address depending on which state he was living in.
If you have "Jofon Marksman" from somewhere else please give full details of this entry as well as the death cert details.
If they went to Australia in 1853 do you know where they were in 1851? I can't see them in the 1851 census. What were the names and dates of their children born in the UK? Which state did they arrive in, in Australia?
These were the children of William Casement and Ann Stole [or Stowell] bapt in Maughold:
William William Casement/ Jane Stole Parish Church 7 Jun 1794. Private baptism. William CASEMENT infant buried Jul 31 1794.
Robert [son of] William Caisment & Jane Stole bapt Parish Church 23 Aug 1795
William William Casement/ Jane Stole Parish Church 27 Aug 1797.
William Casement & Jane Stole married Maughold 12 Apr 1794.
There was a William Casement son of Robert Casement & Anne Curphey bapt in Maughold on 29 Nov.1758, but another one bapt Lezayre in 1757.
