As I had suspected he was Thomas Quayle b/bpt 12 Jul 1805, son of Basil Quayle and Ellen Tobin. Acc the Probate Index - the Reverend Thomas Quayle, late of Arrington in Cambridgeshire, Clerk, died at Hastings, Sussex 8 Mar 1871.
Louisa Young Quayle nee Douglas, d/o Capt William Henry Douglas R.N., died 7 Aug 1879 at Hastings aged 64 yrs.
