I have a Margaret Elizabeth Gillmore who married James Shooter( a soldier from Arnold, Nottingham) and moved to South Africa. Her Birth certificate says she was born in july 1833 and was the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Shimin but her death certificate in 1879 says she was born in 1834 and her mother's name was Anne. She obviously made some impression as all her grandchildren had Gillmore as a second name and one great granddaughter also had it as a second name. I am trying to find out where and when she married.
