Hello Jo, when you say you find that the Manx BMD records are not that easy to look at you possibly mean the 'browse' option. If you use the search option you just need to put in year, surname and name and it comes up with all the records that have been transcribed up to 1911.
I discovered this lady exactly 2 years ago this month and have been searching the UK for her past, but without that vital surname it has been difficult and I have now given up. I just thought that a death certificate if she died on the Isle of Man will give some closure to this part of my family history. She was 44 in 1911 so possibly not remarried, don't know.
If the parish records are to go online that would be ideal, so until then I must wait, although if the birth, marriages and deaths are being transcribed and put online at the moment that would also be ideal.
