Kay,
I have recently been trying to find any descendants of William & Mary Ann Keig (please see my posts of April & July 2011) and, in my research, have established that their daughter Irene married William Albert Moore on 15 November 1933.
William Albert was the son of William Edwin & Anna (Brew) Moore and he was born on 13 April 1901 but, as yet at least, I have not found any offspring from his marriage to Irene.
Prompted by your current search, I have this evening found that in January 1907 Anna gave birth to a son. Sadly he only survived for 2 days and he (apparently) was not named. His burial date is recorded as 16 January 1907.
Equally sadly, it looks as though Anna herself died shortly after, at the age of 35, and her burial date is recorded as 23 January 1907.
I have not been able to find either William Edwin or William Albert in the 1911 census but I do know (from their marriage certificate) that William Edwin was deceased by the time of Irene's & William Albert's wedding in 1933.
Although I have not been able to trace a death or burial record in the specific name of William Edwin Moore (between 1906 and 1933) there is a burial recorded for a William Moore (aged 34) on 18 May 1907.
However this may not be William Edwin as the burial place is shown as Malew, whereas Anna & child were buried (just 4 months earlier) at Foxdale.
One likely explanation for being unable to trace William Albert in the 1911 census may be that, if he was an orphan by then, he may have been taken in by other family or friends who may then have recorded him under their own surname.
I hope that the foregoing will be of some help and, as I am still pursuing my own research, I will let you know in due course when I find out more about William Albert & Irene.
Peter
