if you need newspapers (ie mid 19th C onwards then will be ideal, likewise photos + land deeds post 1880's (to about 1910), the digitised parish records should be available by then (the official i-opening is set for Tynwald day)- everythingelse is still on microfilm at Manx museum (remember they close for a week generally last week in Jan.
