Joyce M Oates has kindly sent full transcripts of the LDS films nos.0106197 & 0106198. These contain 100s of pages of the earliest LDS filmed Archdeacon wills and presentments (and a few other records such as marriage contracts). She also includes a separate index which covers the whole period 1637-1654 so that people can more easily find wills and presentments of interest to them. In the index the details from one film are in red, and in black for the other. It has 174 pages with about 30+ index entries/abstracts per page.
Many of the wills from the first film 0106197 are already transcribed on BL's or Ian's lists, but not indexed.

He writes "Note these are large pdf files (~2MB) and may take a while to download. Individual wills will be extracted and added to the main collection (and the IOMFHS site) in due course".

I can't download them from Ian's website with my slow computer, and if others have the same problem, let me know the particular surnames you would like to see from her index and I'll try putting them up here on the message board.
