I'm helping Annette, a woman in Georgia, USA re Wm Gale b in IOM between 1803-1812
In 1850 he was 42 years old (1808). In 1860 he was 55 years old.(1805) In 1870 he was 60 years (1810). He was not found in the 1880 census and presumed to have died by 1874 as his wife's name was on the tax records.
He md a Georgia woman, Christine McCatherine in 1843 and had 4 children: John, Joseph, Mary & Sarah--always lived in Camden County, Georgia. He could have gone to Georgia as early as 1836.
There is some info on Ancestry.com which seems erroneous, not helpful.

It is hoped that his father was John Gell/Gale but of course it could be any name! Annette has explored various IOM families and has been particularly interested in those with father John.
There are at least 3 in the time period:
John Gell & Susannah Maddrell m 27 Jan 1798 Rushen Wm 10 Aug 1808 Rushen is the 2nd son
John Gell & Mary Maddrell md 8 Jun 1788 Rushen Wm 14 Mar 1803 Rushen is the 2nd living son
John Gell & Christian Shimmin md 22 Dec 1798 German Wm 26 Jun 1808 is the 2nd son--I think we can eliminate him as he is in 1841 Peel census with mother Christian.

So far I don't see any wills for any of the possible parents except Susannah Maddrell Gell GELL, Susannah 1843 Rushen E 1 0106443
It is not transcribed as far as I've found.

If anyone has ideas, suggestions, can account for a Wm Gell/Gale born in the time frame--let me know.
